Job Description

As a Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students with special needs. You'll develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique requirements of each student, ensuring they meet their learning objectives.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging lessons that consider various learning styles.
• Evaluate student performance and adapt strategies to improve learning outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with educational staff to create supportive educational experiences.
• Provide supervision during school activities and ensure student safety.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Engage with parents and caregivers to discuss student progress and strategies for support.
• Implement behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Special Education or a related field

Experience

• Experience with inclusion and co-teaching models is an advantage.

Technical Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
