Cupola Tapper

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Cupola Tapper to operate the cupola furnace and produce top-quality iron castings. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be committed to safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Control the melting process and ensure consistent metal quality.
• Monitor and log the furnace's performance metrics.
• Assist in troubleshooting furnace-related issues as they arise.
• Train junior operators on best practices for cupola tapping.
• Participate in regular safety audits and training sessions.
• Communicate effectively with the production team regarding processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Conduct quality checks on casted products.
• Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in shift handover discussions to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in foundry or metallurgy (advantageous)

Experience

• 2+ years experience with other melting processes is advantageous.

Certifications

• Forklift Certification (advantageous)

• English: Fluent
