Registered Nurse

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in our hospice care team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with life-limiting illnesses. You will assess and address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families, ensuring comfort and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patient needs and preferences.
• Facilitate effective communication with healthcare teams and families.
• Lead care plan meetings, involving interdisciplinary team members.
• Manage the administration of treatments, monitoring patients' responses.
• Encourage and support patients in expressing their wishes and concerns.
• Participate in staff training and development programs.
• Engage in continuous professional development and education.
• Support patient and family through the bereavement process.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualifications in palliative care preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant nursing experience in hospice settings.

• Pain Management

Certifications

• AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
• Current CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
