Job Description

We are looking for a Watchguard professional to bolster our cybersecurity efforts. Your role will involve monitoring network traffic, implementing security policies, and supporting the IT team in maintaining robust security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Administer Watchguard firewall configurations and policies to ensure network protection.
• Analyze security logs to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct routine network security assessments and recommend enhancements.
• Participate in incident response planning and execution.
• Assist in the development of security awareness training for staff.
• Collaborate with vendors and external partners to improve security protocols.
• Monitor compliance with data protection regulations.
• Provide assistance and support to the help desk regarding security-related inquiries.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Cybersecurity or related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in network security and firewalls.

Advantageous

• Experience with other firewall appliances and security tools: Familiarity with various firewall solutions in addition to Watchguard.
• Knowledge of cloud security and virtual private networks (VPNs): Understanding of how to implement and secure cloud services and VPNs.
• Experience in conducting security assessments and audits: Hands-on experience performing thorough security assessments.
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and regulations: Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance standards such as ISO 27001.
