Job Description

As an Accompanist, you will provide vital musical accompaniment for rehearsals and performances of choirs, bands, and orchestras. Your ability to play accurately and with feeling will enhance the overall musical experience of our students and performers.

Responsibilities

  • Play the piano or other keyboard instruments during lessons and performances.
  • Rehearse with students in preparation for performances.
  • Offer musical guidance to students.
  • Create a supportive learning environment alongside music teachers.
  • Maintain a high standard of musicality and professionalism.
  • Engage in professional development activities.
  • Develop a repertoire of music suitable for various performances.
  • Assist with classroom management during lessons.
  • Support music department initiatives and events.
  • Contribute ideas for improving the music program.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field
  • Experience working with choirs or orchestras is preferred
Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in accompanying performances.
