Stage Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Stage Electrician to join our team in Sydney. You will be responsible for designing and installing lighting systems for a variety of live performances while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Set up lighting equipment for various performances.
• Monitor lighting systems for performance quality.
• Train junior staff in lighting and electrical safety.
• Document lighting configurations and equipment usage.
• Coordinate with sound technicians and stage managers.
• Provide technical support during rehearsals.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and serviced regularly.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in Lighting Technology or similar

Experience

• 5 years of experience in stage lighting and electrical work

Technical Skills

• DMX Programming
• Safety Compliance

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Australian Electrical License
• Forklift License

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Video Projection Systems: Familiarity with video projection in live environments.
• Knowledge of Environmental Lighting: Understanding of creating ambient lighting effects for different settings.
