Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Machine Feeder and Offbearer to be a key part of our operational team in the timber industry. Your duties will include handling and processing wood materials, maintaining a clean work area, and supporting logistics such as loading and unloading shipments. Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and manage incoming timber materials.
• Utilize power tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Perform quality checks on wood products to ensure standards are met.
• Help in maintaining accurate stock records and support inventory audits.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss workflow improvements.
• Report equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel promptly.
• Assist in training new staff as required.
• Execute daily maintenance checks and minor repairs on machinery.
• Work collaboratively to solve any unexpected challenges in production.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Forklift license and First Aid certification are beneficial

Experience

• Experience in timber processing or similar fields is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Machinery operation
• Safety protocol knowledge

Soft Skills

• Physical fitness
• Communication skills

Certifications

• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience in machine maintenance: Ability to perform basic maintenance on wood processing equipment.
