Job Description

As a Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver, you will be entrusted with transporting various goods across the country. Your role will involve ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all safety regulations. You should have a strong sense of duty and excellent driving skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive heavy-duty trucks to deliver goods to various locations.
• Perform daily safety checks on the vehicle.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times.
• Meet tight delivery schedules without compromising safety.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding transportation.
• Assist in loading and unloading heavy cargo as needed.
• Document and report issues encountered during routes.
• Engage in continuous training regarding safety and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with team members to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

Education

• Current National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) certification

Experience

• Experience in long-haul driving and handling various types of cargo.

Technical Skills

• Vehicle Maintenance
• Hazardous Material Handling

Certifications

• Police Clearance Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in interstate driving: Proven track record of driving across state lines safely.
• Familiarity with electronic logging devices: Experience using ELDs for maintaining driving logs efficiently.
