Join our team in Geelong as an Insurance Underwriter. You will analyse applicants' information and evaluate risk to determine policy eligibility and pricing. Your assessment will directly impact our clients' coverage solutions and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Examine applications to assess risk and determine policy pricing.
• Provide guidance on risk management strategies to clients.
• Consistently review and rate different types of insurance policies.
• Prepare reports detailing underwriting decisions and findings.
• Maintain effective communication with other departments regarding policy issuance.
• Participate in audits and quality compliance reviews.
• Work directly with clients to clarify coverage details.
• Identify trends that may impact underwriting and suggest improvements.
• Assist in developing marketing strategies for new products.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field
• Postgraduate qualifications in Insurance are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on underwriting experience preferred
