Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Hobart. The successful candidate will provide high-quality veterinary care to a range of animals, ensuring their health and well-being. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating animal illnesses and injuries, as well as performing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the health status of animals through physical exams.
  • Create treatment plans tailored to each animal's needs.
  • Oversee the implementation of preventative health measures.
  • Execute surgical interventions with precision.
  • Maintain comprehensive medical documentation and records.
  • Guide pet owners on best practices for animal care.
  • Collaborate effectively with veterinarian technicians and assistants.
  • Foster relationships with clients through excellent customer service.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
  • Master's or further specialization in veterinary medicine is an advantage
Experience
  • Demonstrated experience of 3-5 years in veterinary practice
