Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Fisheries Habitat Restoration Specialist where you will develop and implement innovative strategies to restore fisheries habitats. You will liaise with multiple stakeholders to drive projects forward and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate multiple fisheries habitat restoration projects.
  • Assess and monitor project progress, adapting plans as necessary.
  • Engage with stakeholders to promote collaboration and support for restoration efforts.
  • Utilize GIS software for mapping and analysing habitat data.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Stay updated on best practices and innovations in habitat restoration.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for community engagement.
  • Identify funding opportunities and assist in grant writing.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Fisheries, Marine Biology, Environmental Science or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification in restoration ecology or environmental management (preferred)
Experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in habitat restoration.
