Job Description

As a Literary Agent at Premier Literary Agency, you'll be responsible for representing talented authors, negotiating deals, and managing their publishing contracts. You'll connect exceptional literary works with publishers, ensuring authors are well-supported throughout the publishing process.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and acquire talented authors with commercial potential.
  • Review and evaluate manuscript submissions.
  • Provide constructive feedback to authors to improve their work.
  • Negotiate and secure book deals with publishers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with authors and publishing houses.
  • Guide authors through the publishing process, from editing to marketing and promotion.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and industry developments.
  • Attend literary events and networking opportunities.
  • Support authors in brand development and marketing strategies.
  • Facilitate communication between authors and publishing teams.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, Creative Writing, or a related field
  • Master's degree is advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Literary Agent or in a related role within the publishing industry.
