Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Special Education Teacher to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and provide tailored instruction to help students with special needs thrive in an inclusive educational setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement IEPs tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Deliver direct instruction and support in a variety of settings, including one-on-one and small group.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support.
• Evaluate and report on student progress towards goals in a timely manner.
• Utilize technology and adaptive tools to enhance learning experiences.
• Engage in ongoing communication with families to build strong partnerships.
• Develop classroom management strategies to create a conducive learning environment.
• Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Special Education certification (or equivalent) required.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience working with students with complex needs.

Certifications

• Registered with New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA)
