Job Description

As a Dredge or Barge Shore Hand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of dredging and barge equipment for various marine projects. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced crew members, following strict safety protocols to ensure efficient workflows. We are seeking individuals who are eager to build their skills in the maritime industry and contribute to significant projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist crew in operating dredging equipment and ensuring proper workflow.
  • Perform safety checks and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Support transportation and storage of materials at project sites.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members for project updates.
  • Participate in safety drills and contribute to a culture of safety.
  • Help with the logistics of marine operations and equipment positioning.
  • Record maintenance and operational data for review.
  • Engage in continuous learning opportunities to advance skills.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in marine operations or related fields is desirable
Experience
  • Experience in a similar maritime role is an advantage.
Technical Skills
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems
  • Basic knowledge of marine safety regulations

Languages
