Job Description

As a Special Education Teacher, your role as a Reading Interventionist will involve providing tailored support to help students develop their reading skills. You will assess individual needs, create customized learning plans, and collaborate with teachers to ensure students thrive academically.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations to assess reading challenges.
  • Create engaging and effective learning experiences for students.
  • Facilitate small group and one-on-one instruction.
  • Work closely with parents to support student learning at home.
  • Implement evidence-based reading intervention strategies.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting.
  • Utilize technology and educational tools to enhance learning.
  • Actively engage in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative environment.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications in literacy interventions preferred
