Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Equipment Installer and Repairer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic cables across various sites. A keen eye for detail and a strong technical aptitude are critical for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installations and splicing of fiber optic cables across designated areas.
  • Test and verify the integrity of fiber optic connections using appropriate tools.
  • Execute maintenance and repair tasks on fiber optic systems as needed.
  • Document all procedures and ensure accurate reporting of completed work.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify connectivity issues as they arise.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding project status.
  • Stay up-to-date with compliance standards and industry best practices.
  • Train and mentor junior team members in installation techniques.
  • Manage time efficiently to meet project deliverables and deadlines.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology or equivalent
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in fiber optic splicing and installation
