Job Description

As a Records Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and databases. Your role is critical in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, while simplifying access to information for internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain accurate records of documents and files.
  • Organize and file both physical and electronic documents.
  • Retrieve and distribute documents as needed.
  • Assist with compliance checks and audits.
  • Implement record-keeping policies and procedures.
  • Enhance workflows for record retrieval.
  • Monitor and report on records processes.
  • Coordinate with other departments for effective record management.
  • Participate in digitisation projects.
  • Manage data entry and updates.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant qualifications in records management or administration.
Experience
  • Experience in a government or highly regulated industry is preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Experience with ERMS
  • Knowledge of legislation
Soft Skills
  • Adaptability
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience with ERMS implementation: Hands-on experience implementing electronic records management systems.
  • Experience with digitisation projects: Familiarity with managing digitisation of records for improved access.
