Responsibilities

• Ensure all surgical equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
• Assist with administrative tasks as required.
• Perform quality checks on surgical instruments and supplies.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
• Utilize surgical technology and maintain proficiency with various surgical instruments.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV in Health Support Services
• Current First Aid Certificate is a must

Experience

• Additional experience in a specialist surgical environment is advantageous

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of surgical procedures
• Time management skills

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Calm under pressure

Certifications

• Hands-on training in a surgical setting is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous surgical technician experience: Demonstrable experience in a surgical technician role is advantageous.
• Training in advanced surgical techniques: Additional training or qualifications in advanced surgical practices is a plus.
