Gas Compressor and Gas Pumping Station Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Gas Compressor and Pumping Station Operator to install, maintain, and repair compressors in various settings. The right candidate will work closely with a team of technicians and report directly to the Service Manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of compressor systems, ensuring efficiency.
• Provide hands-on assistance in maintaining and repairing equipment.
• Work closely with the service manager to report on operational issues.
• Participate in safety audits and compliance checks for equipment.
• Develop and maintain maintenance schedules for compressor systems.
• Manage inventory for spare parts and tools necessary for repairs.
• Participate in ongoing training and skills development initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding service updates and needs.

Requirements

Education

• Completion of Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
• Additional qualifications in Refrigeration or similar field is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience and familiarity with rotary screw and reciprocating compressors.
