Job Description

We're on the lookout for a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter in Brisbane. In this role, you'll assess risk, determine coverage terms, and create policies tailored to our clients' needs. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of insurance principles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and analyze data to underwrite insurance applications.
• Prepare quotations and policy documents for approval.
• Assist in the training of junior underwriters and support staff.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss policy options and strategies.
• Mitigate risks through strategic policy adjustments.
• Work towards continuous improvement of underwriting quality.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Certifications in underwriting are advantageous

Experience

• 5 years of underwriting or insurance-related experience preferred
