Timber Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Timber Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will inspect timber products to ensure they meet stringent quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess an eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections of timber products, documenting defects and reporting to management.
• Collaborate with other inspectors and production personnel to enhance product quality.
• Provide feedback for continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high industry standards.
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate quality assessments clearly and effectively.
• Ensure compliance within the health and safety framework throughout all investigations and inspections.
• Stay updated with relevant industry regulations and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Forestry or relevant fields is preferred

Experience

• Preference for candidates with 2-3 years of experience in timber quality control

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Timber Grading Rules
• Measurement Tools Competence

Soft Skills

• Organizational Skills
• Team Collaboration

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of local and international timber standards: Understanding of compliance requirements related to timber grading.
