Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Music Director who will take charge of conducting our orchestra. The ideal candidate should possess substantial experience both as a performer and a conductor, alongside a deep understanding of music theory and orchestration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the orchestra throughout rehearsals and performances.
  • Determine the suitable repertoire and devise concert programs.
  • Foster collaboration with local composers and talented musicians.
  • Coordinate logistical aspects of concerts, ensuring all arrangements are in place.
  • Monitor artistic integrity during performances, ensuring high standards.
  • Engage with community to promote concerts and musical events.
  • Evaluate and adapt musical interpretations for various performances.
  • Oversee technical rehearsals, ensuring sound and visual quality are met.
  • Promote awareness and appreciation of music through community programs.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree highly regarded
Experience
  • Proven track record in successful concerts and recordings.
