Job Description

The Parent Educator will play a pivotal role in promoting the growth and development of children by providing essential support to parents. This position involves guiding parents through various challenges, offering education, counseling, and creating actionable plans to enhance parenting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct needs assessments for parents and children and implement tailored educational strategies.
  • Deliver parenting education sessions both individually and in groups.
  • Work with external agencies to ensure holistic support for families.
  • Prepare detailed documentation for services provided and outcomes achieved.
  • Stay informed on child development practices and reflect current knowledge in services offered.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about parenting resources.
  • Foster a supportive network among parents through workshops and group discussions.
  • Support the Early Childhood Services team with additional administrative tasks.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related field
  • Additional qualifications in child development preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with diverse populations.
