Job Description

As a Juvenile Corrections Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of young offenders. Your responsibilities will include maintaining discipline, providing guidance, and supervising daily activities to aid in their rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and a strong commitment to helping at-risk youths.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support young offenders in daily routines.
• Implement and enforce facility regulations.
• Monitor juveniles for behavioral changes and needs.
• Assist in the development of rehabilitation plans.
• Provide mentorship and encouragement to offenders.
• Liaise with families to support reintegration efforts.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all residents.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

Education

• Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Certificate IV in Correctional Practices or equivalent preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a correctional or social work environment.
