We are on the lookout for a skilled Chummer to join our dynamic fishing team. The successful candidate will manage the production and delivery of chumming activities on our vessels, ensuring that all operations run smoothly. Responsibilities

• Manage the entire chumming process on fishing vessels.
• Ensure optimal performance of all pumping and mixing equipment.
• Coordinate with other departments to align on fishing strategies.
• Record and submit inventory reports effectively.
• Implement best practices for safety and operational efficiency.
• Help troubleshoot and resolve any equipment failures promptly.
• Engage in ongoing training and skill development.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Fishing Operations or equivalent experience
• Certification in Safe Food Handling and Processing

Experience

• Experience working on fishing vessels or in related fields is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with Safety Procedures
• Operational Knowledge of Chum Equipment

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Marine Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Environmental Practices in Fishing: Understanding of sustainable fishing practices and their implementation.
• First Aid and CPR Certification: Having first aid and CPR qualifications would be beneficial in this role.
