Job Description

As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a range of machine tools to produce precision metal parts. You will read and interpret engineering blueprints, maintain the machinery, and ensure the quality of the finished products.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes and milling machines.
  • Monitor machining processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
  • Work closely with the quality control team to maintain production standards.
  • Assist in developing new machining processes to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure all materials and parts meet specifications before production.
  • Train new employees on machinery and safety protocols.
  • Document daily production activities and machine maintenance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflows.

Advantageous

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment: Prior experience in a similar manufacturing or engineering role is advantageous.
