We are seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Technician to join our dedicated team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will play a critical role in conducting safety research, analysing data, and implementing safety protocols to enhance workplace procedures. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has a deep understanding of safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform research and data collection to inform safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement new safety protocols.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Deliver training sessions to enhance employee awareness of safety practices.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of safety measures and recommend improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of safety assessments and compliance activities.
• Assist in the development of safety-related policies and procedures.
• Report on safety incidents and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree in a related field is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in health and safety
