Job Description

As a Certified Recreational Therapist, you will design and facilitate engaging recreational activities tailored to individuals with disabilities or illnesses. Your role is pivotal in enhancing their physical, emotional, and social well-being through meaningful recreational programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to determine the recreational needs of clients.
  • Facilitate recreational activities, such as sports, arts and crafts, and music therapy.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of therapy programs and adjust as necessary.
  • Help clients build social skills through group activities.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions tailored to specific needs.
  • Document all interactions and progress accurately.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client care.
  • Lead workshops for family members to reinforce therapeutic practices at home.

Requirements

Education
  • Certification as a Recreational Therapist.
