The Animal Caretaker is responsible for providing daily care to animals in our zoo and maintaining their habitats. This role is vital in ensuring the health and well-being of all species within our care.
Responsibilities
Feed animals according to dietary requirements and schedules.
Ensure cleanliness and order of enclosures and public areas.
Assist with veterinary procedures for animal health monitoring.
Facilitate interactive experiences for visitors to enhance education.
Monitor animal health and notify management of any concerns.
Participate in team meetings to discuss animal welfare and improvements.
Provide feedback on animal habitats for improvements.
Complete other tasks as directed by management.
Requirements
Education
Higher qualification in Zoology or Animal Care is preferred
Experience
Experience working with a variety of animal species is an advantage
