Interior Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our creative team in Coffs Harbour. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming client visions into stunning designs for both residential and commercial spaces. You will work directly with clients, manage design projects from concept to completion, and collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure a seamless build process.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients in a consultative manner to assess design requirements.
• Design functional and aesthetically pleasing layouts.
• Select materials and oversee procurement for projects.
• Coordinate with construction teams to adhere to timelines.
• Evaluate and adjust designs based on client feedback.
• Manage multiple projects while ensuring high-quality output.
• Encourage sustainable and environmentally conscious design practices.
• Mentor junior designers and assist in their development.
• Develop presentations for client meetings.
• Stay abreast of industry developments and innovative design solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in high-end residential or commercial design

Technical Skills

• 3D Rendering Software
• Space Planning

Soft Skills

• Detail-oriented
• Client-focused

Certifications

• National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ)
• Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with project management software: Experience with tools like Trello or Asana for project tracking.
• Strong network of suppliers and contractors: Established relationships with vendors and contractors in the industry.
