Job Description

The Meat Clerk plays a crucial role in our meat department, providing excellent customer service and ensuring high-quality standards. You will work collaboratively with a team to keep products fresh, properly displayed, and available for our valued customers.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to provide educated meat selections.
  • Prepare specialty cuts upon customer request.
  • Ensure all meat products are labelled correctly.
  • Continuously assess the quality of displayed products.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.
  • Assist in the upkeep of all meat refrigeration units.
  • Participate in promotional events and activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of current market trends in meat products.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments for a seamless shopping experience.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Previous experience in the meat department or food service role preferred.
