Cement Finisher Helper

Job Description

The Cement Finisher Helper will assist the Cement Finisher in performing various tasks related to cement finishing, ensuring the smooth and efficient completion of construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced Cement Finishers to achieve optimal results.
• Ensure that surfaces are prepped correctly for finishing.
• Assist in mixing and applying concrete materials.
• Handle and maintain finishing tools and machinery safely.
• Accurately install and measure concrete forms.
• Assist with quality control of finished surfaces.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project success.
• Complete all tasks assigned by the site supervisor.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required
• Valid construction industry White Card

Experience

• Experience in cement finishing or related trades is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Concrete finishing tools
• Hand and Power Tools

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and diagrams: Understanding blueprints is an asset for the role.
