Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Urban Planner to join our team in Bendigo. In this role, you will contribute to urban development projects, engage with community stakeholders, and help shape the future of our city. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and local authorities to ensure planning regulations are met, while promoting sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects that enhance urban environments and promote community welfare.
  • Develop clear, detailed reports to justify planning applications.
  • Work closely with local government to align urban plans with community needs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing urban projects and suggest improvements.
  • Coordinate with environmental consultants to ensure sustainable practices are followed.
  • Prepare and present proposals for various development projects.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders involved in urban projects.
  • Stay updated with trends in urban planning and policy changes.
  • Participate in public meetings to address community planning concerns.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or related field
  • Master's degree is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in urban planning or similar roles
