Job Description

As a Correctional Officer, you will be instrumental in maintaining security and order within a correctional facility. You will supervise inmates, enforce rules, and ensure safety for both inmates and staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of inmates and staff at all times.
• Assist in rehabilitation efforts by providing support and guidance to inmates.
• Work collaboratively with fellow officers to enforce regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of inmates and facility premises.
• Respond to emergencies and provide incident reports accordingly.
• Maintain effective communication with management and team members.
• Participate in community outreach programs as needed.
• Engage in conflict resolution to manage situations effectively.
• Document all incidents following established protocols.
• Uphold the principles of integrity and professionalism in all duties.

Requirements

Education

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a relevant certificate in corrections, law enforcement is preferred

Experience

• Previous experience in corrections or law enforcement is preferred
