Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a First-Line Supervisor of Production and Operating Workers. You will oversee a dedicated team, ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks, and uphold the highest quality and safety standards in our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the outside machinist team in completing project tasks effectively.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues as they arise.
  • Ensure that all work performed is compliant with quality and safety regulations.
  • Manage workload distribution among team members.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to discuss project requirements and updates.
  • Review and approve work orders and project plans.
  • Facilitate training sessions to enhance team skills.
  • Encourage adherence to safety protocols within the team.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate IV in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Outside Machinist)
  • Relevant qualifications in marine engineering preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years in a supervisory capacity within marine engineering or related field.
