Responsibilities
Lead the outside machinist team in completing project tasks effectively.
Identify and resolve operational issues as they arise.
Ensure that all work performed is compliant with quality and safety regulations.
Manage workload distribution among team members.
Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
Engage with clients and stakeholders to discuss project requirements and updates.
Review and approve work orders and project plans.
Facilitate training sessions to enhance team skills.
Encourage adherence to safety protocols within the team.
Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements
Education
Certificate IV in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Outside Machinist)
Relevant qualifications in marine engineering preferred
Experience
5+ years in a supervisory capacity within marine engineering or related field.
