Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our growing team in Launceston. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality documentation for software products. You will work closely with developers and other stakeholders to gather information, ensuring that complex technical concepts are clearly communicated to our users. Your contributions will play a key role in our customers' success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and standardize documentation processes within the team.
• Write clear, user-friendly manuals and online help content.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure documentation accuracy before product releases.
• Revise documentation based on user feedback and product changes.
• Participate in product development meetings to anticipate documentation needs.
• Contribute to the creation of internal knowledge bases.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or related area
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in technical writing or related field

Technical Skills

• HTML/CSS knowledge
• Content Management Systems (CMS)

Soft Skills

• Project management
• Flexibility and adaptability

Certifications

• Technical Communication Certification (TCC)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working with UX/UI teams: Ability to collaborate with design teams to create user-focused documentation.
• Familiarity with graphic design tools: Proficiency in tools like Adobe Illustrator or Snagit for visual aids in documentation.
