Job Description

As an Avionics Technician, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and repair automatic pilot systems in aircraft. You will work closely with a skilled team, focusing on troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to ensure aircraft safety. Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair automatic pilot systems in accordance with established protocols.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards during maintenance activities.
  • Calibrate systems to ensure high levels of performance and reliability.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation of all maintenance work performed.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve complex avionics issues.
  • Stay current with advancements in avionics technology and regulations.
  • Support the Avionics Supervisor in developing preventive maintenance plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior mechanics as required.
  • Participate in safety training and adhere to company safety policies.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) or equivalent
  • Valid AME License is preferred
Experience
  • 5 or more years in aircraft avionics maintenance, with direct experience on automatic pilot systems.

  • Experience mentoring junior mechanics: Previous experience in training less experienced staff is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CASA regulations: Understanding of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority requirements is preferred.
