Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Forestry and Conservation Science Teacher to lead courses in forest resources and environmental studies. The ideal candidate will engage students through lectures, workshops, and hands-on activities while conducting research in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead innovative research projects in forestry and conservation.
  • Deliver coursework on the ecological, social, and economic aspects of forestry management.
  • Encourage student participation in field studies and community-based research.
  • Supervise student internships and practical placements in relevant industries.
  • Facilitate workshops with industry experts to enhance student learning.
  • Contribute to grant writing and securing funding for research activities.
  • Participate in academic committees and contribute to faculty governance.
  • Stay current with advancements in forestry practices and policies.

Requirements

Education
  • PhD in Forestry, Environmental Science, or related field
Experience
  • Demonstrated track record of publications in high-impact academic journals.
Technical Skills
  • Database management software (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
  • Open-source software (e.g. LaTeX, GitHub)
Soft Skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Languages
