Outrider (Animal Trainer)

Job Description

Join our team as an Outrider, where your primary responsibility will be to assist and guide horse riders throughout races. You'll actively lead horses to the starting point and ensure they reach the finish line safely. Your skills in horsemanship and ability to communicate effectively with jockeys and race officials will be essential in maintaining a smooth racing experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation during race events by leading horses effectively.
• Monitor the condition and well-being of horses throughout the day.
• Develop rapport with riders for better communication during races.
• Contribute to the training of new staff and volunteers.
• Assist in emergency procedures if needed to ensure the safety of all participants.
• Participate in team meetings and provide input on safety improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate in Equine Studies is preferred

Experience

• Experience working with horses in a racing environment.

Languages
