Job Description

Join our team as a Project Estimator where you will be responsible for crafting accurate estimates for various construction projects. This role requires effective communication with clients and stakeholders, as well as keen management of budgets to ensure timely completion of projects within financial constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and submit accurate estimates aligned with project specifications.
  • Engage in stakeholder meetings to discuss project updates and changes.
  • Monitor expenses and conduct cost tracking throughout project phases.
  • Identify and recommend areas for improvement in estimating processes.
  • Assist in the development of project proposals and bids.
  • Review and interpret design documents and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and feasibility.
  • Train and mentor junior estimators in effective estimating practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field
Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in cost estimating software (e.g. CostX, PlanSwift)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • AutoCAD proficiency
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical thinking
  • Attention to detail
Certifications
  • Certified Cost Professional (CCP)
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) software: Familiarity with BIM tools to enhance estimating accuracy.
  • Previous experience in large-scale commercial projects: Experience managing budgets for significant construction undertakings.
