As a Loan Interviewer, you will be pivotal in guiding applicants through the loan process. Your role includes conducting interviews, assessing financial backgrounds, and helping applicants understand their eligibility for various loan options.

Job Responsibilities
  • Evaluate loan applications and financial statements to determine overall risk.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to underwriters based on applicant interviews.
  • Assist applicants in completing their loan applications accurately and thoroughly.
  • Monitor and manage loan application workflows to enhance processing efficiency.
  • Communicate loan decisions clearly and professionally to applicants.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with loan applicants for repeat business.
  • Train and mentor junior loan clerks and interviewers as necessary.
  • Organise and conduct presentations about loan offerings to potential clients.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss loan policy updates and customer service improvements.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills Proficient in verbal and written communication, particularly with clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Able to use Microsoft Office tools for documentation and analysis.
  • Loan management software systems Familiarity with software used for managing loan processes.
  • Attention to detail Meticulous in reviewing loan applications and documentation.
  • Analytical thinking Skilled in analysing financial documents and credit reports.
  • Customer service orientation Committed to providing a high level of service to clients.
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Prior experience in risk management: Understanding of financial risk assessment and management principles.
  • Experience using loan management software: Proficient in software that facilitates the loan application process.
