Job Description
As a Loan Interviewer, you will be pivotal in guiding applicants through the loan process. Your role includes conducting interviews, assessing financial backgrounds, and helping applicants understand their eligibility for various loan options.
Responsibilities
Evaluate loan applications and financial statements to determine overall risk.
Provide insights and recommendations to underwriters based on applicant interviews.
Assist applicants in completing their loan applications accurately and thoroughly.
Monitor and manage loan application workflows to enhance processing efficiency.
Communicate loan decisions clearly and professionally to applicants.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with loan applicants for repeat business.
Train and mentor junior loan clerks and interviewers as necessary.
Organise and conduct presentations about loan offerings to potential clients.
Participate in team meetings to discuss loan policy updates and customer service improvements.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field preferred
Experience
2+ years in loan processing or related field
