Sewing Machine Operators

Job Description

As a Sewing Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in our production line, responsible for operating various sewing machines to create high-quality textile products. We are looking for individuals who have a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Load fabric rolls onto sewing machines and prepare them for sewing.
• Use various sewing techniques, including overlocking, and hemming.
• Assess and troubleshoot sewing machine issues to prevent downtime.
• Follow production schedules to ensure timely completion of orders.
• Assist in training new team members on sewing techniques and safety standards.
• Track sewing progress and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain workplace standards for cleanliness and organization.
• Ensure the accurate labeling and packaging of finished garments.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Diploma or Certificate in Fashion or Textile Production is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in sewing operations, preferably in a production environment

• Overlocking Skills
• Machine Troubleshooting

• Problem-Solving

Certifications

• Intermediate Sewing Certificate
• Safety in the Workplace Training

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Quality Control: Background in quality inspections and ensuring product standards.
• Familiarity with CAD Software: Ability to use CAD for pattern making and textile design.
