Job Description

We are looking for a Radiation Oncology Registered Nurse (Radiation Oncology RN) to join our dynamic cancer treatment team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care and support to patients undergoing radiation therapy, working closely with radiation oncologists and therapists in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patients prior to radiation therapy treatment.
• Administering radiation therapy treatment according to prescribed plans.
• Monitoring treatment progress and managing side effects.
• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Providing education to patients and families regarding therapy processes and management.
• Documenting patient care and outcomes in electronic medical records.
• Participating in team meetings to improve patient care strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Current registration as a Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Experience

• Previous experience in oncology or radiation oncology nursing is highly desirable.
