Job Description

As a Rotary Drill Operator, you will play an essential role in extracting core samples from the subsurface, supporting geological surveys and mineral exploration. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining drilling equipment, ensuring efficiency and safety throughout the drilling process.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the setup and dismantling of drilling rigs and support equipment.
  • Utilise drilling control software to monitor and report on drilling operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and geologists to optimise drilling strategies.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant vocational training is a plus
Experience
  • At least 2 years in a similar role within the oil and gas sector.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in drilling programs
