Job Description

We seek a Medical Records Specialist to play a key role in our healthcare solutions team. This position involves reviewing and analysing medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness while adhering to HIPAA regulations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Document and maintain patient records accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with other healthcare staff to gather information for coding.
• Prepare reports for management regarding coding efficiency.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss coding practices.
• Provide support during audits and external reviews of coding.
• Mentor new staff on coding practices and systems.

Requirements

Education

• Certification as a medical coder (CCS or CPC)
• Degree in health information management preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in healthcare information management

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
