Job Description

As a Genetic Counselor, you'll work closely with clients to evaluate their risk for genetic disorders and provide tailored guidance on genetic testing and treatment options. Your expertise will play a critical role in supporting families through complex health decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide genetic counseling to patients and families regarding inherited disorders and genetic testing.
• Assist in collecting and interpreting family and medical histories.
• Explain genetic testing procedures and results to patients.
• Work with healthcare providers to develop appropriate treatment plans based on genetic information.
• Keep abreast of new developments and advancements in genetic counselling and testing.
• Attend workshops and seminars to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Genetic Counseling or related field
• Membership of relevant professional organizations

Experience

• 3 years of experience preferred
