Job Description

As a Physical Therapy Nurse, you'll play a crucial role in evaluating patients and developing tailored treatment plans that aim to enhance mobility and overall health. Collaborating closely with physicians and physical therapists, you'll ensure effective rehabilitation for patients recovering from injuries or surgeries.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and needs.
  • Design and implement tailored rehabilitation programs.
  • Administer medications and monitor their effects on patient recovery.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
  • Develop educational materials for patient and family guidance.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to document patient interactions.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development activities.
  • Lead group therapy sessions when applicable.
  • Advocate for patients’ needs throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Nursing or similar qualification
  • Master of Nursing or Rehabilitation Nursing preferred
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in physical therapy or related nursing field

Certifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
