The Import Export Manager is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing all operations related to import and export activities. This includes liaising with suppliers, managing logistics, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in trade operations, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the end-to-end process of import and export operations.
• Negotiating with suppliers and freight forwarders for cost-effective solutions.
• Monitoring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
• Streamlining logistics to enhance operational efficiency.
• Conducting audits of import/export activities and documentation.
• Training and mentoring the import/export team on compliance and best practices.
• Analysing trade metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Managing the customs clearance process for all shipments.
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure compliance with contracts.
• Building strategic partnerships with key clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in International Business or Logistics is preferred
• Certified Export Specialist (CES) or equivalent certification

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in international trade management
