Job Description

As a Chainstitch Binder, you'll be responsible for crafting and repairing chainstitch designs across various fabrics. You will work with advanced machines to ensure the production of high-quality textile products, making your contribution vital to our sewing team.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret work orders to determine the required stitching techniques.
  • Maintain an organised workspace and adhere to workplace safety guidelines.
  • Perform regular machine maintenance to improve productivity.
  • Assist in product quality control checks to ensure specifications are met.
  • Support team objectives and assist in achieving production goals.
  • Document production numbers and report on machine performance.
  • Collaborate with designers to develop new chainstitch patterns.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
  • Participate in training sessions on new techniques and technologies.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant apprenticeship in sewing techniques is advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in textile manufacturing or similar role.
