Responsibilities

• Set up and break down the operating room after procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Support the surgical team in achieving optimal patient outcomes.
• Document surgical cases accurately and completely.
• Provide assistance with patient recovery in the post-anesthesia care unit.
• Handle and maintain medical equipment and instruments safely.
• Conduct quality checks of surgical equipment.
• Participate in training and development for ongoing skills improvement.
• Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Health Services
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a surgical assistant role

• Anesthesia Assist

Certifications

• BLS Provider Certification
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Languages

• English: Fluent
